The Abbey of San Fruttuoso is unmatched in beauty and prestige. Its foundation is shrouded in legend, but its beauty shines each day when the first sunlight of the morning illuminates his facade. In the time it was ruled by abbots close to the most influential Genoese families, but it is with the Doria family that the complex developed a thriving control of the surrounding territory.
